For nearly two decades, Jake has built at the intersection of commerce, purpose, and place — co-founding ONEHOPE to prove that giving could live at the center of a business, not beside it, and now building Estate 8 and Oakford into a Napa Valley platform for wine, hospitality, ownership, and community.

Jake Kloberdanz is a Napa Valley vintner, entrepreneur, and founder whose career has been defined by building brands at the intersection of excellence, community, and purpose. In 2006, motivated by a close friend's cancer diagnosis, he co-founded ONEHOPE Wine — a company that would grow to distribute over ten million bottles, earn more than thirty 90-point scores, and donate more than $11 million to causes nationwide.
Under his leadership, ONEHOPE raised more than $150 million in funding, was repeatedly recognized on Inc. Magazine's 500|5000 list, and established a world-class winery and estate in the heart of Rutherford. The company earned a Top 500 ranking by volume while building one of the most purpose-integrated brands in the industry.
Today Jake leads Estate 8 and the Oakford brand ecosystem — a membership-based vineyard ownership community rooted on his Rutherford estate. Current projects include the Garden House (Oakville, 2026), the Oakford Member Club (September 2026), and The Oakford on Chestnut, a San Francisco wine bar concept. He is also the driving force behind the Heart of Napa monument, a public art installation and foundation celebrating the valley's spirit.
A board advisor at 8VC — one of Silicon Valley's leading technology venture firms — and board member of After the Fire Foundation, Jake channels his experience building category-defining companies into work that extends well beyond wine. He is a two-time National Rugby Champion, a graduate of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and a regular speaker at the UN Global Summit, TED stages, Stanford, MIT, and Cal Berkeley.
He resides with his wife Megan and their two children, Jack and Ruby, in Napa. He's often found walking amongst the vines, smiling with guests in the tasting spaces at the winery, or connecting in the great room at the Rutherford vineyard estate.
I have always believed the best things are built around people.
ONEHOPE began with friendship, a cancer diagnosis, and a simple conviction: giving back shouldn't be a campaign. It should be built into the model.
Estate 8 began with a piece of land in Rutherford and a belief that place still matters. In a world moving faster every year, I want to build things that ask people to slow down, gather, belong, and remember what is real.
The next chapter is about building places, wines, and communities that last.
